Britney Spears called in sick to her scheduled deposition for today. Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, hoped to have Britney under oath by 10am this morning to answer questions regarding her past drug and alcohol use, as well as her defiance of court orders pertaining to her custody battle, but it didn’t happen.
Kaplan didn’t say when the deposition would be rescheduled for, but he told media he was disappointed.
“Approximately 10 minutes after her council appeared they were notified that because of an illness or medical condition Ms. Spears would not appear today and consequently the deposition is not going forward,” he said.
According to a Britney source, he “medical condition” was anxiety.
“There’s a million people outside of her house. She can see all the other madness. The anxiety is making her sick. It’s just too crazy.”
Perhaps Britney will just get smart and pop out another couple of kids to replace Sean Preston and Jayden James, because it seems that she’s lost those two permanently at this point.

This keeps getting sadder and sadder. When is a family member or someone who gives a damn going to step in and help this girl! She has no one! Everybody needs somebody! All I can do is pray for her. The madness they speak of is never ending, and the cruel, judging of Britney is never ending! My God what do they want a suicide or something so they will have another good story?!

Kayla, while I understand your point, what you fail to realize is that everyone who does care about her has been thrown out of her life. She doesn’t want to hear that she’s a fuck up. She only wants people around her to tell her that she’s fabulous and can do no wrong.
You’re right that she needs some help, but the fact remains that everyone who’s tried, including her family, have been pushed away by her. She’s an adult and nobody can make her get help anymore.
She’s doing this to herself.
And Alyk, you were right, she didn’t show. Just like you predicted.

The real insanity is to expect rational behavior from an obvious drug addict. Compulsive, obsessive self-destruction is the norm in these cases. That’s what makes an addict an addict. I really don’t think there’s anything wrong with Britney that hasn’t happened to millions of other people, and that a sincere commitment to 12-step recovery wouldn’t solve. The sad truth is she probably has no idea herself why she does half the things she does. I pray that one day she has her moment of clarity and does what she needs to do to get well. Otherwise, this is just the beginning. Her disease will progress, and all the money in the world won’t save her from the heartache that awaits. Anyone who truly cares a whit about her should be busy praying. Bye.
