Nicole Kidman won an unspecified financial settlement Friday from her lawsuit against The Daily Telegraph. In a column last month, The Daily Telegraph accused Nicole of breaching her contract with Chanel No. 5 perfume by promoting another fragrance. Nicole’s attorney contended the newspaper fabricated the story.
The actress accepted the damages after the court determined the newspaper inflicted considerable embarrassment and distress after they falsely reported that Nicole carried a bottle of a competitor’s perfume while she was in London promoting her new film, “The Golden Compass.”
The Daily Telegraph agreed to pay her legal fees and “substantial” damages to Nicole, who reportedly plans to donate the money to the United Nations Development Fund for Women.
In other Nicole Kidman news, she sported the ugliest effing pantsuit I have ever seen to the Sydney premiere of “The Golden Compass” on Friday.

THe outfit itself isn’t so bad (though not great, either)- she just looks terrible in it. Being shaped like a cigarette doesn’t grant you carte blanche to wear ANYTHING. Not be racialist here, but Rihanna or another thin ethnic gal would look far better in that.
