A rep from Nickelodeon confirmed rumors that Britney Spears’ 16 year old sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, is pregnant with her first child. Jamie Lynn’s boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, is reportedly the father.
“We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being,” says the network, which carries her series Zoey 101.
OK! Magazine has an exclusive interview with Jamie Lynn and her mother, due on newsstands tomorrow. Sadly, Britney doesn’t know about the pregnancy yet, but I’m sure she will be totes excited.

This is one of the funniest things I have read this week. Now before you flame me for that let me explain why:
Earlier tonight, my son was watching Zoey-101. There was a still shot at the end of the show of Jamie-Lynn. Pip comes into the bedroom to describe this pic of her. “She is a spitting image of Britters from ‘Baby One More Time’.” I then mention how hopefully she can stay on the straight and narrow and be as different as possible from her sister.
Well this is one way of being different from your sister.

Oh well, she is atleast far better off then most 16 year old girls. I doubt she will be struggling for finances. I hope she deals with the emotional burden ok. Hopefully her mum will be supportive.
