We heard yesterday that Amy Winehouse was “screaming and sobbing” at her East London home before she turned herself over to police this week. At one point, friends feared the singer was too distraught to go through with the prearranged drop off, but Amy eventually decided to head to police station and caught a ride with a friend.

While in a car headed to the North London station, Amy passed out. Photographers snapped photos showing her slumped over and her eyes rolled back in her head. Still, she arrived on time.

The singer arrived at Shoreditch Police Station in east London on Tuesday to be “arrested by appointment”, before being formally interviewed, fingerprinted and DNA tested.

She was questioned for two-and-a quarter hours before being released on bail and escorted home by her mother Janis and father Mitch.

Then at 4am she was spotted out with pals in Camden.

Was her fainting spell brought on by stress or just too much heroin? It’s so hard to tell with Amy…
