Ashlee Simpson flashed a lame-ass ring on her right hand while hosting a New Year’s party at Miami’s Shore Club, but her rep insists the singer is not engaged. The denial was backed up by a rep for Ashlee’s boyfriend, Pete Wentz:

“Ashlee is not engaged.”

Well, bummer. I’m sure we all would have enjoyed seeing photos of Ashlee and Pete walk down the aisle wearing gray jeans and hoodies.
