I would have been more likely to believe that Mischa Barton arrived at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills yesterday for reasons other than PR if it weren’t for the fact that her hair and makeup were camera-ready. Homegirl has dressed like a hobo for the past three years, but she just now decided to put on her Sunday best? Whatev.

First of all, you “don’t believe” that she went to church for reasons other than PR, because you write a scandle blog (hence the name “CelebWarship”). For your information, it’s been known for a long time that she DOES go to church! And people that go, usually wear clothing like she’s wearing here in this pic. She made a mistake and she will be punished for it. She was not looking for attention. She doesn’t need the press. Mischa has many good things going for her right now, including 9 films coming out this year. She’s still miles above the other celebs that constantly do this kind of stuff! She made one mistake and she decided to go to church and put all that stuff behind her. Is that such a bad thing???? I dont think so! She isnt doing it for attention and seriously everyone has to wear nice clothing like what Mischa was wearing when she went to church. She was raised by a Catholic Irish mother, she has every right to go to church.

So you bash Mischa when she’s not done anything at all, and then you bash her again when she’s done wrong, but is trying hard to make amends for it. When can she ever win??? You scandal-mongers and bloggers really do make me sick! Haven’t you got anything better to do than try and persecute a young woman who’s made a very common mistake and is trying to rebuild her life afterwards???
Mischa is an amazing person, and people like you will never even be 10% of the person she is. Why don’t you just leave her alone and go and do something of real social value - like taking a blindfolded stroll along the freeway next rush hour!

i agree with the last 4 commenters on your blog entry and what she is doing is not “pathetic”, this is something for her to in private and not be snapped by the paps, and dressing like a hobo, have you seen or bought any magazine recently to find pictures of Mischa in nearly every issue in the US or UK, and have praised her for it. For Bashing about her going to church to a relgoius person this is very hurtful, and is not the way to go forward and then leaders of the church will get upset, so what is wrong with going to church to forgive sins, nearly every person that calls Jesus there savoiur goes and prays, were do you think the hoilday of christmas comes from? Hey guys for your information Mischa was raised Irish Catholic so her going to church should not be that much of a big deal! Why she went to church is for her own religous reasons and not for other people to pick and pull apart! And just because Mischa is still young and beautiful doesn’t mean that she can’t go to church! I mean seriously she has commited a mistake and now she is doing the right thing by making amends for that mistake!! And about your little comment on her outfit people wear things like that to church all the time!! And I personally think it looks stunning on her!

Shut up. Mischa is a vapid twit and she’s NEVER been seen in church before her DUI arrest. If she wasn’t doing this for publicity she wouldn’t have been “caught” this time coming out of church. Nobody has ever seen her going into or coming out of a church before her DUI and now that she’s fucked up, she’s making sure to “make amends” by “repenting” for her sins? Whatever.
Like testykitty said, it’s PATHETIC that she’s only just now being seen in church after she put the lives of everyone on the road she was on in danger.

Dear “K”, the defence of Mischa is not, as you seem to think, coming from the same person posting several times under different names. How can I be sure? Because I’m the founder and admin of one of the main Mischa fan forums, and all six of the people you are making reference to (I assume you’re including me in this…) post regularly on that forum under the very same user names.
And on that forum, we have been talking intelligently about Mischa’s DUI and all of her actions afterwards. So, if you want to see some intelligent discussions of Mischa’s actions and such like, why not check it out? - Or are you scared that we may use words above your level of comprehension (which I figure is very probably anything with more than three syllables…).
And btw, don’t call me “Christian-right” - I may have been raised a Catholic (now since long-lapsed), but I’m definitely NOT “right-wing”.

Oh, my dear “K”… I’m not a “dude” at all - I’m a 22-year-old woman, born in the UK, but now living in the US, and a final year degree student too. And how dare you accuse ME of being rude in the light of what you wrote about my very good friends in your original post?? If you want a classic example of being rude to people, take a look in the mirror!!!!!
And “jimbo-radio”, you too could do with a serious lesson in good manners. FYI, many of the folks on our forum are in the 20+ age bracket, have VERY good educations, and would probably ace the Mensa tests (Don’t you know that “Mensa” is a proper name, and so should begin with a CAPITAL LETTER, and not a lower-case one?????? No?? Oh well, that speaks volumes about YOUR level of intelligence, doesn’t it??…).
One lesson you bashers need to learn now is that we’ve got a hell of a lot more patience than you have, and a passion for what we do - and that’s why you’ll never win. Because we all love Mischa, and respect her as a person, we’re prepared to defend her to the end. Yes, we admit that she’s not perfect, but who is?? The important thing is that she’s ALWAYS been willing to admit to her mistakes, and to try and make good on them. This isn’t some new phenomenon that has suddenly emerged in the past few days - she’s always stood up, put her hands up, and said “OK, I admit it - I goofed!” And that’s one of the main reasons why we all love her so much. She know’s that she’s not perfect and that she has faults, and admits to the fact. But, at the same time, she’s also one of the best young actresses around (according to those who really know, like Richard Attenborough), and a really nice, sweet person who always has time for her fans. Can any of you honestly say that you know of other young celebrities who are both as talented and as normal and caring as Mischa Barton??? I honestly think that you would be hard-pressed to name some.
So leave Mischa alone, and go focus your rage and anger on something more constructive instead - If you were to do so, I’m sure you could move mountains - and maybe people would actually thank you for it instead of arguing with you.

Keep up the good work. Your post made me laugh so hard, especially the bit about Mensa. You’re really getting right up the noses of the self-styled “Mischa Barton Army” who seem to make it their business to spam and troll any blog site that doesn’t worship at the altar of the “saintly” Ms Barton. Then they all rush back to their little forum to congratulate each other about how “clever” they are. I always notice how they never take on the huge blogs like Perez and Popsugar though. Are you both really claiming to be educated because it’s not really apparent in the above ramblings. I’m sorry, but I can’t really understand the point you’re trying to make here. And what exactly does “insulate the fans of Mischa” mean? Something to do with cavity walls?
I’m not talking about Paris Hilton’s DUIs, etc. I don’t think anyone could seriously defend her on that score. However, on your forum one of your members has posted a picture of a chimp-like creature in a blonde wig and called it Paris Hilton without make-up. If you don’t like Paris and want to make fun of her on your forum, that’s fair enough. But then you all have the cheek to scream “foul” whenever you think Mischa’s being made fun of and disliked on someone else’s blog. That’s hypocrisy. I’m sorry if you don’t really understand the true meaning of the word. Maybe someone should post a chimp/Mischa image on the internet and watch you all squeal in outrage.
I’m sorry if it upsets you but I don’t think Mischa’s a good actress (although I will concede that she’s good at modelling), and I don’t like how she claims to be “different” to the Hollywood party girls and doesn’t hang around with them, when there’s a lot of photographic evidence out there to the contrary. And I don’t like how - even before the whole DUI incident - she must have known her licence was suspended, yet she still thought it was acceptable to get in her car to drive on that fateful day. That’s not a mistake. That’s just stupidity, arrogance and negligence.

You guys need to learn to shut the fuck up and stay out of other people’s business. All you do is HATE, what sad pathetic lives you must have to be that full of venom. Mischa can do what she wants, and shouldn’t be bashed by you pathetic little weasels all the time. You can;t compare Mischa to people like Paris, Britney and Lindsay. I KNOW Mischa is different from other young Hollywood stars. She is human, she made a mistake. Have you never made a mistake in your whole life? She just misjudged a situation, and I know she is sorry for it. She even said how dissapointed in herself she was. The fact that she can admit her mistakes makes her a mature young girl. What I want to know is, what GOOD is bashing Mischa going to do? What are you getting out of it? It wont change what has happened.
