Scarlett Johansson is no longer content just being a movie star: she wants to sing too. Although she kind of bombed out last year while attempting to warble with Jesus & Mary Chain onstage at Coachella, Scarlett decided to to take on an ambitious project: she’s actually attempting to do a Tom Waits tribute album.
The disc is called Anywhere I Lay My Head, it’s due out May 6, and I hate Scarlett 50% more than I used to for even trying to cover Tom Waits.

first of all, they remixed the shit out of her voice, cuz when she sang with the jesus and mary chain at coachella, bitch was flat as shit and she only had to hit one note.
second of all, as a southerner, fuck her for a. covering summertime (no rich-ass new yorker knows shit about singing that song) and b. channelling billie holliday. and an extra fuck her for touching tom waits. everything thing this bitch does is contrived to seem a certain way.

She sucked at Coachella last year. She had awesome producers and engineers on this track that you posted. Tom Waits…nothing compares….cue in the Sinead O’Connor.
