After two weeks of blissful, non-legally-binding marriage, Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds called it quits. The couple exchange vows in a romantic, intimate ceremony on a private island off the coast of Bora Bora on New Year’s Day. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work out.
“After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further,” Murphy and Edmonds said in a statement. “While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.”
Luckily for Eddie and Tracey, the marriage wasn’t legally binding: only residents of Bora Bora can legally marry on the island. Although the couple told friends they planned another legal ceremony in the US, it didn’t happen.
Sources claimed they had a rocky start from the beginning of the marriage.
“Eddie started yelling at Tracey in front of people,” says one of Edmonds’s wedding guests. “He did it on a few occasions and it was very embarrassing.”
Hmm, do you think it was more embarrassing than being a gay dude’s beard? Have fun with those LA trannys, boo!

actually, even if the marriage isn’t legally binding they did hold a ceremony and that is agruable (from the woman’s point) in divorce court as far as getting spousal support. i know you’re all very interested in that little piece of factoid.
