Mario Batali dished the details on pal Gwyneth Paltrow’s hospitalization earlier this week. Witnesses spotted Gwyneth slumped over in a wheelchair while being brought into a NYC hospital on Monday. Mario claimed her condition involved “a little gastrointestinal situation.” Um, sexy.
“It’s now been straightened out,” he said at the grand opening of The Palazzo Hotel in Las Vegas Thursday. “She’s [doing] great.”
In three weeks, he said they’re going to Majorca, Spain, and then Valencia, Spain, to shoot a PBS cooking show, set to air in October.
Gwyneth’s rep said she was released from the hospital the following day, and “is at home and OK.”

Nothing like a professional chef admitting a friend got food poisoning…are you sure you still want to do that show with him, Gwynnie? Just don’t eat anymore of his dishes and you’ll be fine…
