Paris Hilton took time out from partying in Sundance to give a few soundbites on her homegirl Nicole Richie’s new baby. Although Paris hasn’t meet Harlow Winter Madden yet, she said she’s wicked excited to be Aunt Paris to Nicole and Joel Madden’s newborn daughter.
“I’m so excited!” Hilton said at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. “I’ve sent her all these presents. I’m going to spoil her!”
Paris gave a thumbs up for Nicole and Joel’s taste in baby names.
“It’s the coolest name ever,” she told Us. “I’m like, ‘That is the coolest name, oh my God!’ I wouldn’t even think she would have thought of that. It’s a beautiful name.”
“Nicole is so into it,” she said of the name Harlow. “She always knows what’s cool before it happens.”
Seriously. Nicole was doing heroin years before Amy Winehouse jumped on that bandwagon.

People don’t seem to care anymore whether a name is supposed to be a girl or boy name. That’s fine, I suppose. But you’d think they would care more about the meaning than how it sounds…
Originally a boy name, “Harlow” means “a hill with a heap of rocks”, and “Winter” is, of course, a rather cold and bleak season in most places. May the girl be blessed by finding meaning in life beyond the starkness of her own name.
