I think she is gorgeous & glamorous, but that hat!!?? Please! It looks totally laughable. Back in the day Damon Wayans had a gay movie critic character on the show In Living Color & it really looks like one of the hats he would have worn. Absurd.
I used to think she looked stunning always - but recently she seems to be morphing into a drag-queen parody of herself. Too much makeup - too unhealthy and undead looking. She’s lost that 40’s pin-up sparkle.
I worry about her in another 5-10 years when she’s an aging white head barely able to keep herself erect. Dita dahrling …a little (tiny) bit of sun and a workout now and again wouldn’t kill you. Promise.
I am trying to figure out exactly what she is doing with her mouth in that top pic…. Is it slightly open and her tongue is the nearly the same color as her lipstick? Did she have a collagen injection go terribly wrong?
Come on…glamourous…classy?…the girls a porn star…she did hardcore girl/girl stuff in the late nineties…just check pinups 2 it’s even on her IMDB listing…leaves nothing to the imagination as she takes a double sided dildo up her. she’s not just a stripper…she’s did porn
so what if she’s done porn, or does stripteases or burlesque dances?
the lady has got class, which is a lot more than we can say for most who are names in that industry.
“so what if she’s done porn, or does stripteases .. the lady has got class …”
Are you serious? I would think that anyone that has done porn (to say nothing of being violated by Marilyn Manson) is precluded from being associated with the word “class.” A skank by any other name….
I don’t understand why people think this skank is classy and beautiful. She looks like a ghost or that dude from the movie “Powder”. She is hideous and vulgar and for god’s sake she was married to Marilyn Manson! N.A.S.T.Y.
From the sublime to the ridiculous. That skank has turned into such a self-parody I am actually starting to enjoy these posts so I can marvel at her skankdouchery. I also love the comments from the fat housewives who wish they could be her.
She is absolutely flawless, I have to agree that anyone who is critical of her look is just jealous, (try to make yourself look that good and post a picture so we can see for ourselves that YOU are such a fabulous creature)… she is fabulous. You are all jealous, get over it.
^^^Uh, I’m a man. I just find her hideously unattractive and the fact that she used to fuck (and who knows what else!) Marilyn Manson makes my skin crawl. I think she is the most annoying kind of celebrity in that she has done absolutely nothing to merit her fame. She just turns up on random red carpets dressed up in funny clothes and people take her picture. I guess she used to be a stripper, but since when did that get you invited to fashion shows?^^^
I’ll grant you that Dita is one of those “Why is she famous??” celebs who only get invited to events and seem to do nothing else, but she’s just so gosh darn GOOD at it that it’s practically a job in itself. Presumably she gets paid for these gigs so this *is* her job, really, and she does it a hell of a lot better than the skank party girls like Paris. Marrying Manson was a bad choice, I agree, but she’s carved out a niche for herself since the divorce and has proved she doesn’t need a famous husband to get attention.
Kaya: That’s certainly an interesting and baited interpretation of my comment.
The “actions” discussed above involve her romantic and professional life, and didn’t hurt anyone. So no, I don’t care that she performs naked for money or who she used to be married to (because really, *that* would be shallow). Those things are not equivocal to being a bad, evil person.
I’ll assume you’re smart enough to realize that’s what I was referring to and were just trying to troll for some drama.
That’s a nice try at a rebuttal, Nomi, but Kaya hit the nail on the head. What matters most to you is a person’s looks.
“I personally don’t care if she took a double-dong in the pooper a decade ago, she looks amazing 24/7.”
How else can someone interpret that? Instead of wishing others are “smart” enough to read your mind, you should learn to clearly state what you mean.
I personally *do* care if someone is a stripper or a porn star. No, I don’t think it makes a person evil, but it’s incredibly tacky to jiggle your tits for money, no matter how you dress it up. Porn stars are paid for sex, which makes them whores. That’s no evil either, but the occupation hardly attracts the best and the brightest.
So what’s the difference in what Dita does (or did) and any other actress? And who cares if all anyone cares about her or any other celeb is their looks? This is a gossip blog, not a site to discuss potential Nobel Prize nominees. I find Dita admirable mostly because she’s managed to make a name for herself as a pin-up girl fifty years after such things went out of fashion and there’s no one else who is doing what she does. She’s no more or less an attention whore than anyone else in the entertainment biz, but she stands completely out from the crowd.
It’s asinine to assume that because I think her occupation is irrelevant to her fashion sense, that looks are therefore the most important thing to me. They are completely unrelated. I prefer pasta over rainbows, but that doesn’t mean pasta is all that matters to me. That’s a ridiculous argument.
Fashion sense is actually pretty low on my list of what’s important; it’s just that someone being a stripper ranks even lower.
If you think she’s hot, great. Not into it? That’s okay too. But arguing over semantics about *my personal opinion* on something as meaningless as fashion and bewbs is just stupid.
(WTF? It’s like everywhere I go is turning into the CE board.)
nomi. i just love it when someone says one thing then turns it arround into a supposedly intelligent quote. whatever. your talking crap. if your going to say something completely stupid at least stick to what you intended it to mean in the first place.
Seriously, Kaya, Sarah and amy, you might want to know what you’re talking about before you go and try to trash someone.
If you read Nomi’s comments, you’d know that you’re the ones looking stupid.
I bet every one of you just LOVES Britney and wishes people would “leave her alone” why? Why is Dita not worth adoration for being a wicked smart business woman who found a niche and had the sense to go in that direction and fill a need. Yes, I do mean fill a need. There was obviously an audience for what she does/did or she’d never have been as popular as she is now.
The facts are this, it’s a job, there were people who wanted her to do that job, so she did it. The fact that she’s stunningly flawless is just bonus points for her. AND those of us who like her.
I hope none of you have ever done something you regret, because then, some random girls on the internet, might just, one day call you names for it.

She could wear a plastic bag and still look stunning…
Kisses to Dita!

I guess I’m the only one: I think she’s too pale & her lips are too red. She may be OK looking to some people, but she’s still a slutty stripper.

She’s still goddess, but could lose some of the kabuki white.

Her hat looks like an acorn.

Just FYI, this wasn’t the Gaultier S/S show. It was the Haute Couture show. Spring summer was shown in Sept. F/W 08-09 starts next month.

…It looks like a curled-up turd.

Christ, I hope people aren’t judging me by some douchebag I used to bang or the things I did 10 years ago.

(vintage glam > double-dong.)

Hey Nomi, so as long as someone looks good, you don’t care about their actions? Wow, you are unbelievably shallow.
