Britney Spears’ team of attorneys will head into court later today to ask a judge to remove Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, as the conservator of her estate. Sources close to the case claimed the attorneys will argue that Britney “feels great hatred” toward her father, and doesn’t trust him to oversee her estate or medical care.
Here’s the way it’s gone down this weekend. Yesterday, a lawyer for Trope and Trope (Brit’s divorce/custody attorneys) went to UCLA to visit Britney. After being there a short time, one of the staff doctors asked the attorney to leave, because the co-conservators objected to the visit.
Sources say tomorrow, Trope and Trope will appear at the court hearing. Along with attorney Adam Streisand, who specializes in estate law, and ask that both co-conservators be removed. They will argue that the appointment of Jamie in particular is inappropriate given Britney’s bitter feelings toward him and that Britney wants him out.
On Friday, the Commish appointed Jamie Spears and attorney Andrew Wallet as co-conservators. Trope lawyers and Streisand will ask that both conservators be replaced.
Sources say the Trope firm will not object to a conservatorship for Britney, but they’ll ask that a different conservator be appointed. We’re told the Trope lawyers and Streisand have not finalized who they want to replace the current conservators.
Is it too late for me to throw my hat in the ring as Britney’s conservator? I think I would do a fabulous job.

From what I read, he’s the only one who’s avoided profitting off of her to date. Maybe it’s a sham, but he seems like the correct one to administrate it.

Well why not you? Why not anybody? I think they should great an on-line registry so everyone can sign-up. Then they can announce the winner, or loser… This could be made even better with a deal for a new reality series showing the impossible work of trying to make “The Brit” normal.

Even better, let the public at large be in charge of Britney’s affairs. Decisions could be made by popular vote.

I highly doubt it’s actually helping her to have anyone fighting over who’s in charge of her. Her lawyers are stupid, they’re just allowing the CRAZY lady to continue to be in charge. That’s the last thing she needs. That’s the reason she went so far into crazy-land because she was unchecked and allowed to be in “control”. Now it’s time for someone else to be in control and I don’t think her Dad is a bad option.

Actually, now that I think of it, maybe they should keep her dad there and change the lawyer that’s in charge, to one of their own, so it’s them keeping an eye on things for her but not really letting her have any control of things. I don’t know. I’m just glad she’s locked the fuck up and being forced to get help.

With all this crazy stuff going on and everything, why isn’t her lawyers insisting the Kevin Federline get a job???? He is taking care of his kids, big deal, in my opinion he just used her for the money when she was with him, he spent her money trying to buy a career. And when she was preg he was in Vegas every weekend. I am so tired of everyone thinking he’s sooo good. He should be working to support all of his kids and stop liviing off Britney.

Totally agree Angel. As for her dad, as long as they have the other lawyer as co-conservator, keep him. I don’t trust her custoday lawyers. They communicate with Sam and haven’t done much to go after Kevin’s shady self in the custody case. I think they want her in charge so they can keep getting their money. Rip off the girl with mental issues. How would they know Brit and her dad’s relationship. Just a month ago they were claiming she was uncooperative and they had little communication with her. Now they know her whole life issues.
