According to TMZ, the LAPD started an investigation into allegations that Sam Lutfi drugged Britney Spears against her will. Oh, so that’s illegal and stuff?

Law enforcement sources tell us the Major Crimes Division of LAPD is on the case, after the conservators filed a complaint alleging Lutfi drugged Spears as a way of keeping her under his control. We’re told the investigation is very much active.

Lutfi could not be reached for comment, however, Michael Sands, Lutfi’s spokesperson, tells TMZ he is aware of the investigation.

During testimony for Britney’s conservatorship hearing, Britney’s mother Lynne testified that Sam told her he put crushed pills, including Risperdol and Seroquel, in Britney’s food in order to sedate the singer.
