Amy Winehouse turned up for Paris’ Fashion Week with a swollen, back and blue face. Although I immediately assumed homegirl’s entire face just turned into an abscess, Amy’s rep claimed she suffered from a mysterious face bacteria.

“Amy has been diagnosed with impetigo which she’s been told can be highly contagious. Because of that she’s been put on antibiotics and may have to stay home alone for the next few days.”

Amy didn’t let her swollen face stop her from having a good time in Paris: the singer wowed crowds when she performed at a Fendi party over the weekend.

So is this the same thing that that guy had to leave project runway for?

Oh I had to learn about that with my communicable diseases class. Its not fun stuff. Its normally found in children though.

On wikipedia it says “The infection is spread by direct contact with lesions or with nasal carriers. The incubation period is 1–3 days. Dried streptococci in the air are not infectious to intact skin.”

    Go figure!
