Louis Vuitton announced today that scary old hobo Keith Richards is the new public face of the luxury goods company. Holy shit.
For his first ever ad campaign, the 64-year-old Richards — who has a rocky history of drug use — is seen cradling his guitar on a hotel-room bed, the lights part obscured by skull-print black drapes.
“Some journeys cannot be put into words. New York. 3 am. Blues in C,” runs the slogal of the ad, shot by US photographer Annie Leibovitz and due to appear in the magazine press next month.
Meanwhile, Hermes announced that the sunken-faced junkie from the “Faces of Meth” campaign will be the public face for their spring collection.

Is it because his face looks like the leather used in the “luxury goods” line? Seriously, though, when I think high-end LV, I most certainly do not think Keith Richards. This is the biggest WTF? I’ve seen in a while.

It really does look like he’s wearing some sort of halloween mask.
Terrifying.
