After less than a year of living in Los Angeles, David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly ready to pack up their family and move back to the UK. Although the couple were initially thrilled to move to the US, professional set backs allegedly soured the Beckhams on their US experience.

The family came to the US so David could play soccer with the LA Galaxy. He was paid an astonishing $250 million for a five year contract. Unfortunately, David has not played up to expectations, and injuries sidelined him for most of the season.

“He’d be very happy if someone would buy out his Galaxy contract,” a source told OK! magazine.

Victoria also hit a streak of bad luck: sources claimed her denim line, dVb, sold much less than expected.

“It’s done about $15 million in retail when it was expected to have done $50 million by now,” a well-placed retailer told the mag.

Reps for the Beckhams say the clothing line is “doing well,” and there aren’t plans for David to get out of his contract and move. However, another well-placed Beckham source said that the transition to the States hasn’t been as seamless as originally hoped, and the change in Victoria’s fame status has had something to do with that.

“The Spice Girls reunion tour really was a bright light for her, it was a complete success,” said the source. “However, it really did make it clear to Victoria how different her life is here. She’s got some decisions to make.”

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are going to be so bummed when they hear this news.

Well damn, I better get out to LA so I can stalk David a little before they move. ;)

Woah, shocker. That skank, who is almost totally unknown in the U.S., and her empty-headed, pretty boy, over-the-hill, soccer playing husband are clearing outta town after blowing up on the launch pad in their ill-fated attempt at American fame.

Lets give Becks and Sticktoria a great big bon-voyage party and send them on their way! Returned, no refund necessary.
