During a cocktail party in NYC for Versace’s menswear line, Donatella Versace bragged that she helped introduce Halle Berry to her baby-daddy, Gabriel Aubry. Donatella claimed she deserves credit for hooking the beautiful couple up during a 2005 shoot for a Versace ad.

“Of course, I was at the [photo] shoot when they met. I know him very well. I pushed a little bit. I said, ‘Why don’t you go out together.’ I said it in front of them. It went well at the shoot.”

“It was a moment when both of them were single,” the she added. “And they are both such nice people.”

Although Donatella has not met Halle and Gabriel’s newborn daughter, Nahla Ariela, the designer predicted the baby is “fantastic looking. I cannot imagine a better looking baby than this one.”

I concur with Donatella. Can’t wait to see the first photos.
