Heath Ledger’s estate problems just got more difficult: the actor may have fathered a child with an older woman while he was still in high school. Reports from Australia claimed 17 year old Heath had an affair with a 25 year old woman in Perth that resulted in a daughter.

If it is confirmed Ledger is the girl’s biological father, it could split his multi-million dollar estate between his two-year-old daughter Matilda Rose with Hollywood actress Michelle Williams, and his secret love child.

Ledger’s uncle, Hadyn Ledger, in Heath’s home town of Perth, Western Australia, told Sydney’s Daily Telegraph newspaper exclusively: “There is a very real possibility that Heath was the father.

The latest report states that Heath was still at school at Guildford Grammar in Perth when he began the affair with the woman, then aged 25.

Another family source told the newspaper: “She had the baby. Everyone lived under the assumption that she was the daughter of the mother’s boyfriend and that is how she has been brought up.”

Heath died in January of an accidental prescription drug overdose. He left behind an out-dated will that made no mention of Matilda, leaving his estate to various members of his family. A legal battle is expected to occur sometime in the future, and will undoubtedly be complicated even further if the little girl in Perth is Heath’s biological child.
